Christmas 2007

Christmas this year was absolutely deeeeeeeelightful! We really enjoyed spending time together as a family. Joe and Candis also made the trip up from South Carolina to spend Christmas with us which we loved. This Christmas was really fun because it was the first time the twins really understood what was going on. Last year they had fun opening presents and such, but didn't quite understand the whole Santa idea or the suspense leading up to Christmas. This year, however, they have been talking about Christmas for a month, made special cookies just for Santa, and had a hard time getting to sleep on Christmas eve.

Lydia really melted our hearts when on Christmas evening we asked her what her favorite gift was and she said "the picture of Jesus." We had given each of the kids a small picture of Jesus they could hang up in their rooms. They really got spoiled this year but their two favorite things are their Jesus pictures and a tube of chapstick Santa put in their stockings. They ask if they can put more chapstick on 23 times a day. When we let them, they really cake it on all around the general mouth area. We really should only spend $5 on Christmas and the kids would still be thrilled about it.

Here's the fam at the national Christmas tree on Christmas Eve

Welcome to the world of blogging! It's nice to have a blog for those faraway grandparents-that's why we've done ours.
I'm excited to see your adventures in DC! Your girls are so big!! We saw the when they were just a few weeks old and now they're almost 3!! Time flies!

Yay!! I'm so glad you guys have joined the blogging world. I was wondering what you guys were up to. You know we only live 4 hours apart, perhaps we will have to get together while you guys are in Virgina. And we have some other friends that live in Alexandria, and given the size of the ward boundaries out here, they are probably in your ward...Philip and Micaela Webb?? The girls are beautiful!! We're having a baby boy in February! Come check out our blog: dkgallup.blogspot.com

Love,

Karen
